Strength-Based & Valiant Minds Aligned
Christopher X. Giangarlo, LPC
Adolescent & Adult Therapist | Dual Diagnosis & Recovery Specialist
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Christopher is dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate mental health challenges with clarity, resilience, and practical support. His work focuses on supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, dual diagnosis, and life transitions in a structured, compassionate, and evidence-based environment.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Penn State in 2017, Christopher began his career in the mental health field with a genuine desire to help people feel seen and understood. Over the years, he has worked in intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), residential, and outpatient settings, providing individual and group therapy, conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, and supporting crisis intervention and discharge planning.
While he has experience across a wide range of populations, Christopher has found particular passion and purpose in supporting teens and adolescents during some of the most challenging and formative years of life. Growing up is not always easy. He brings empathy, patience, and authenticity into the therapy room, meeting clients exactly where they are and helping them build insight, coping skills, and confidence.
Christopher has been a lifelong devotee of pop culture—a walking encyclopedia of movies, comics, and everything in between. He enjoys exploring how the stories that shape us reflect the times we live in and often draws on those shared cultural moments to connect with clients in meaningful ways. Whether referencing a favorite superhero, a coming-of-age storyline, or themes from film and television, he recognizes that stories can be powerful bridges to deeper self-understanding and growth.
At Valiant Minds Counseling, Christopher is proud to be part of a team committed to resilience, healing, and empowerment. His goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and build a strong therapeutic bond rooted in trust, respect, and genuine connection.
Christopher looks forward to working collaboratively with clients to build insight, resilience, and lasting emotional strength.
