Drawing from a background in domestic violence advocacy and crisis intervention, Sam is skilled in helping clients process trauma, strengthen emotional resilience, and build healthy relationships. They are attuned to the intersections of trauma, identity, and systemic oppression, offering care that is both socially aware and deeply personal.
Their approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, with mindfulness practices, humanistic approaches, and narrative therapy. Sam is also trained in schema therapy, an integrative therapeutic approach for mental health challenges that have not responded to other treatments, including depression, borderline personality disorder, and complex PTSD.
